Cole Popper – VP of Sales, Project Marketing Division
Cole Popper began his career as a financial analyst at Bank of New York Mellon where he focused on sell-side investment banking, analyzing a variety of asset-backed opportunities for HNWI and corporate clients. Harnessing the experience and work ethic gained in an investment banking environment, Cole sought a more dynamic role “in the field”.
Cole joined a national, tier-1 residential real estate firm as a Buyer’s Advocate and achieved ‘Top Producer’ status in his first year. Strategically positioning himself as one of the go to Realtors for investors and builders alike, his creative approach developed innovative methodologies for identifying off-market buying opportunities while also pre-selling properties prior to being listed on the MLS.
As an industry leading Top Producer, Cole’s average sales volume for his first five years representing real estate investors was more than $20 million per year ($100+ million total), putting him in the top 0.1% of professional Realtors nationwide.
Cole’s transactional experience ranges from identifying off-market properties for both retail and investor clientele, to raw land deals for developers, distressed homes for ‘fix & flip’ renovators, multifamily apartment buildings for private equity firms, and single family rental portfolios for institutional buyers. His consulting services have benefitted multiple out of state hedge funds that entered the Texas market and needed expert guidance on the areas and price ranges to focus on.
Cole is currently a Principal at WinHill Advisors whose team was recognized by Houston Business Journal for being the number 6 team in transaction volume for the city of Houston in 2017.
Cole’s experience has shaped him to be the perfect VP of Sales for Urban Mutual’s Project Marketing Division. His responsibilities include cultivating relationships with select tier-1 development partners producing residences that meet Urban Mutual’s ‘Affordable Luxury’ mandate, managing in-house underwriting analysts, and directing project marketing activities.
