Prospect Mortgage

Mr. Todd Wilson served as interim executive management for one of the nation’s largest independent retail mortgage originators during the mortgage industry crisis. He successfully turned the business from losing $10 million per month to a profit of $2 million per month. He led the acquisition and integration of a failed bank origination platform and integrated multiple acquisitions focused on achieving scale, realizing synergies, and profitability.

Mr. Wilson planned, launched, and managed a Project Management Office (PMO) to drive company–wide improvement initiatives, and was responsible for working with project sponsors and developing and implementing projects focused on accelerating growth and profitability. His initial focus was financial controls, procedures, and operational processes in place for a planned IPO. Prior to the CPO role, Mr. Wilson was the Executive Vice President, Special Financing Services, where he was responsible to develop, launch, and scale Prospect’s mortgage lead platform. Key clients included Servicers, large mortgage asset owners, and other investors. Execution included developing and managing a lead platform for loan officers to optimize lead pull-through.

Sterling Partners

Mr. Wilson was hired as CEO to develop and implement enhancements to portfolio companies’ operational capabilities, focused on driving accelerated profitability through deployment of turnkey/replicable operational tools. He achieved additional portfolio company turnarounds in printing, manufacturing, and distribution industries.

He was the Executive Sponsor for the Sterling Procurement Program—a cross-portfolio supplier program that harnessed the purchasing power across the entire portfolio, dramatically reducing overall costs—and was transferred from Fisher’s ProcureNet spin-out to manage international distribution operations. He increased Operating Income eight times while decreasing Working Capital by 33% during his tenure. Improvements were achieved by executing operational process improvement and restructuring operating units in Europe, Asia, South America, and North America. Mr. Wilson developed and implemented a Regional European strategy, further accelerating growth and profitability. He implemented major initiatives, such as a Global Account Strategy and negotiating and executing a significant Pan-European life science distribution agreement. Mr. Wilson also managed the Sarbanes-Oxley certification process for international distribution operations.
